Working together to implement the outcomes of ICN2 Side Event - 71st UN General Assembly

September 20, 2016 11am – 1pm Conference Room 11, United Nations Headquarters.

The United Nations Decade of Action on Nutrition (2016-2025) will be the focus of this high level event, moderated by Michel Mordasini, Chair of UNSCN and Vice-President of IFAD. The event is co-hosted by Italy, the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, with supported from FAO and WHO. The aim of the discussion is to engage all relevant stakeholders to make SMART commitments for action to end malnutrition in all its forms.

This event will also serve to inaugurate the UNSCN facilitated online discussion to help further elaborate the Work Programme for the UN Decade of Action on Nutrition. This online discussion hosted on the Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition - FSN Forum - will serve as a platform through which the conversation can continue to advance.
