UNSCN Secretariat
The Secretariat is headed by the UNSCN Secretary. It carries out tasks assigned by the UNSCN, supports the Chair in executing his or her executive functions, facilitates the work of the Steering Committee, and acts dynamically to strengthen networking and ensure follow-up. Key tasks include the organization and follow-up of the annual Sessions and Working Group activities, preparation of reports for the CEB and to support the Chair in mobilizing support and resources for carrying out the Action Plan. The Secretariat is also responsible for managing a peer review process in support of UNSCN publications to ensure their high quality (See Terms of Reference 5 in the Strategic Framework 2006-2010).
