Apply now: Food Sustainability Media Award

Application deadline: 31 May 2017

Media and effective communication have the power to engage people, induce behavioural change and make all of us contribute to the creation of a more equitable and sustainable future. Professional journalists, photographers and video makers work to turn everyday issues into a global concern but they are not the only ones.

The Thompson Reuters Foundation and the Barilla Center for Food and Nutrition launched the Food Sustainability Media Award to recognise efforts from all over the world to raise awareness about issues related to nutrition, food security, sustainability and food systems. Simple messages, even images and videos, are effective means to raise the attention to sensitive issues such as the quality of food, the importance of sustainable food systems and the benefits that healthy and sustainable diets have on people and on the planet.
