The Global Food Security Symposium 2019 From Scarcity to Security: Managing Water for a Nutritious Food Future was held from March 20–21 in Washington, D.C. Organized by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the symposium focused on how to grow an adequate quantity—and quality—of food to feed and nourish a rapidly growing, urbanizing world in the face of increasing water insecurity. As a contribution, UNSCN and GLOPAN teamed up to produce the Guest Commentary - Putting Nutrition at the Center of Collective Action as part of a new blog series - Uncharted Waters.Watch this space for more work on this theme in 2019.
