Supporting Member States to achieve the NCD-related Sustainable Development Goals targets

Friends of the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on the Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) side-event on the occasion of the UN General Assembly.

This session will review the current work of the Task Force and will agree ways to provide more effective UN system support to enable countries to scale up their responses to the NCD-related SDG targets. The session will also highlight how Member States are responding to the NCD epidemic. The side event will review how the Task Force, Member States and other development partners are responding to recent ECOSOC resolutions regarding the work of the NCD Task Force.
