HIV and Infant Feeding - A Guide for health Care Managers and Supervisors

GUIDELINES aimed at health-care managers and supervisors through the process of thinking about and deciding how to organize services. The background to the problem and the organization of the guide are outlined first. The next section describes the need to balance the risk of HIV transmission through breastfeeding against the risk of malnutrition and death from not breastfeeding; it describes also current approaches to the prevention of HIV transmission to pregnant women, mothers and their children.
