This publication is a Report of an Expert Group Meeting (EGM) convened by UNIDO and FAO, that was attended by participants from all over sub-Saharan Africa as well as other parts of the world THE EGM was held in Vienna, Austria on 29 to 30 November 2007, with the objectives of reviewing the current situation and constraints on agricultural mechanization in Africa and of recommending ways through which these could be tackled to support economic growth and poverty reduction.
