The main objective of this report is to review the different policies, as well as programs affecting health and nutrition status of Egyptians over the period 1970−1990. The study will attempt to outline and examine
Critically the major trends in the health and nutrition status of the Egyptians in the light of:
− the Egyptian socio−economic setting;
− the different programs affecting health and nutrition status of Egyptians;
− the interactions between the different socio−economic variables and their implications on the health and nutrition indicators.
