Nutrition Decade Work Programme available in six UN languages
May 2017 marked an effective milestone in the Nutrition Decade with the release of its Work Programme. In response, Brazil and Ecuador became the first countries to make SMART commitments during the Seventieth World Health Assembly (WHA70).
Several rounds of consultations took place to shape the Work Programme. These include the UNSCN online consultations hosted on the FSN Forum (Feb 2017), during the CFS OEWG on Nutrition meeting (Feb 2017), through an informal brief the Permanent Representatives of FAO and WHO Members (Feb 2017), with Member States during the WHA70 (May 2017) and made available during the FAO Conference (July 2017).
